Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart has been confirmed to come out in 2021 and we couldn’t be more excited to try it out.
Although the release date is yet to be confirmed, the developers have released a statement committing to release the game in the time for the next-gen gaming consoles launch dates. Although they made no big announcement about the game, it can be seen at the bottom PS5 ads under the title of “New Worlds to Explore.”
A playground that has been around for almost 20 years is the legendary game known as Ratchet and Clank. Luckily for all super fans of this game, the developers known as Insomniac have announced the latest adventure will go under the name of Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart.
This PS5 exclusive game will be an adventure unlike any other you gave seen from them. With dimension-hopping excursions that no one has seen on any previous PlayStation hardware. For anyone returning to the Ratchet and Clank world, have no fears because all your favourite parts will still be there, and it certainly won’t have lost its nostalgic charm. It will simply be available in better graphics and with a far more efficient and easier gameplay.
The game revolves around the lives of the well-known heroes we’ve all come to love. They are faced with the gruelling challenge of fighting an evil arch-nemesis who hold to the power to destroy dimensions using his weapon the Dimensionator. Unfortunately, our heroes don’t get there in time and some damage has been done already. The fabric of spacetime has been damaged and in order to save the universe, they’ll have to summon all the firepower they can get to take out this ultimate power
.
There will also be new faces that will make an appearance. A mysterious new female character known as Lombax appears from another dimension as a result of the evil emperors’ actions and you’ll get the chance to play as her for a portion of the game. By opening up the map to include multiple dimensions and universes, the developers have created a visual experience that will blow your mind and create a visual feast for anyone lucky enough to play the game.
For all those who have been lucky enough to get their hands on the elusive PS5, you’ll want to make sure you grab a DualSense controller to go with it by the time Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is released in 2021.
Insomniac have done what they do best by creating a game that plays into their strong suits. The weaponry available is out of this world outrageous with inventions you could not have even dreamt of. Games such as the Resistance Trilogy, Sunset Overdrive and Marvel’s Spider-Man don’t even begin to match the insane movement mechanics this game has to offer.
The creators of Ratchet and Clank have some real fun with customising the game to fit the latest PS5 exclusively. With all the new tools the console has to offer alongside the latest DualSense controller, this game is said to take you on the ride of a lifetime. PlayStation really provided them with all the tools they needed to create an awesome game with the best unique and exotic weaponry, custom adaptive triggers to suit your controller, advanced VFX and above all one major visual spectacle.
There will be of course all the original weaponry we all know and love from all those years ago, but we just have to mention a few of the latest weapons that will bless your screens in the near future and be sure to steal the spotlight and outdo all those old weapons. Firstly there’s the legendary Shatterbomb, an upgrade from the original Fusion Grenade that ensures a powerful blow to anyone it is aimed at. Then you have the Topiary Sprinkler which has come so far from when it was once known as Ratchet and Clank’s ‘Going Commando’s Miniturret Glove. It fires shots of ice that will freeze anyone in place and stop anyone else from approaching by using its powerful vines to hold them in place. Twoweapons that will take full advantage of the new PS5 technology are the Burst Pistol and Enforcer Shotgun.
So, if you ask us, the new Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart game is the perfect game to take your PS5 for a spin. It will take full advantage of any new features and truly show off all that the new console has to offer. All that we can do now is wait patiently for a sign or even a hint of when this new game might be released.
