Best Monitor for PS5 and PS5 Pro: Dell Alienware AW3225QFBest Upper Mid-Range Monitor for PS5 and PS5 Pro: Samsung Odyssey Neo G8 S32BG85Best Budget Monitor for PS5 and PS5 Pro: AOC CQ27G2Best Cheap Monitor for PS5 and PS5 Pro: KOORUIBest 4K Monitor for PS5 and PS5 Pro: BenQ Mobiuz EX3210U

If you’re looking for the best monitors for your PS5 or Pro, it’s a good idea to get one that uses the console’s many features, such as its HDMI Forum VRR support and HDMI 2.1 bandwidth. Since the PS5 also supports 1080p, 1440p, and 4k, you’ll also want to get a monitor that can handle most or all of those resolutions. However, a (3840 x 2160) 4k display still displays the most detailed images due to the pixels being four times the number of ones found in a standard (1920 x 1080) HD display. So, that means it’s a good idea to shoot for that resolution if you can.

While the PS5 Pro says it supports 8K on its box, there are currently no 8K monitors available on the market at this time of writing, and besides that, this mid-gen upgrade already supports the same signals as the PS5 anyway.

There are a lot of things to consider when buying a gaming monitor, but the main two are refresh rate and high dynamic range. If you’re looking to build a PC, other factors come into play, but since we’re just talking about consoles, you won’t need to worry about much of that. So, refresh rate is something to seriously consider because it’s so tightly tied to frame rate, and you will definitely want your games to run smoother.

Higher frames generally mean games will run smoother, look better, and respond faster. A 144Hz monitor, for example, can display double the frames of a 60Hz monitor. But when it comes to high dynamic range, anyone in the market for a screen that can do this should seriously consider nabbing one if they can afford it — as playing on a monitor with high dynamic range is simply stunning.

So, without further ado, here are five tellies that cater to those needs, along with some other things.

Best Monitor for PS5 and PS5 Pro: Dell Alienware AW3225QF

The Dell Alienware AW3225QF is currently the best monitor for PS5. It was the first 4K @ 240Hz QD-OLED available, and it delivers outstanding performance. While the console can’t fully support the monitor’s fast 240Hz refresh rate, you can still play 4k names up to 120Hz without issue, thanks to its HDMI 2.1 bandwidth. The system can’t be connected to the monitor at 1440p, though this isn’t a problem if you use the PS5’s maximum resolution of 4k. Plus, if you prefer to play in a dark room, the near-infinite contrast ratio and perfect black uniformity are ideal, as black looks dark and inky. This screen also features near-instantaneous response time that results in crisp motion, and it has low input lag for a responsive feel in your video games.

If you’ve got some money burning in your pocket, you feel like breaking the bank, or you just want to get the best monitor around, then this one is the one you should get, and it is absolutely worth the price.

Best Upper Mid-Range Monitor for PS5 and PS5 Pro: Samsung Odyssey Neo G8 S32BG85

Suppose you don’t need the best 4k monitor for PS5 with premium features but still want stellar gaming performance. Then, an upper mid-range option like the Samsung Odyssey Neo G8 S32BG85 is an excellent alternative. It’s different from the Dell Alienware AW3225QF in some ways because of its inverse ghosting at lower refresh rates and a higher focus on console gaming; you likely won’t be swapping between the two, so this is still a great choice.

Alienware is around £700 at a base price compared to Dell, which is currently on sale for nearly the same price but will eventually return to a cost of over a thousand. Either will do, for sure, but a more specific direction and cheaper price might push it over the edge for you.

Best Budget Monitor for PS5 and PS5 Pro: AOC CQ27G2

Are you on a budget? Has the higher cost of living forced you to pinch pennies? Well, the AOC CQ27G2 might just be for you. It’s a decent monitor with a simple design and a wide stand that supports it well. Its passable ergonomics still earn it a passing grade, too. Oh, and it also has a variable refresh rate, and its native resolution (2560×1440) will allow you to get some fancy visuals in Cyberpunk 2077 or whatever Playstation ports to the PC.

Not every gamer cares about getting the most realistic graphics, and that’s totally understandable. The AOC still features most of the modern sensibilities that we’ve come to expect, too, such as high contrast and a simple design, so yeah.

Best Cheap Monitor for PS5 and PS5 Pro: KOORUI

At £91, the KOORUI 24-inch gaming monitor is definitely on the lower end in terms of power and overall premium feel. However, its sleek design, 165Hz refresh rate, and 1080p resolution get it some points compared to other 60Hz monitors.

You’re not going to be getting anything on the same level as some of the other monitors on this list, but the KOORUI will still do what you need it to and is a great option for those looking to spice up their gaming experience.

Best 4K Monitor for PS5 and PS5 Pro: BenQ Mobiuz EX3210U

The BenQ Mobiuz EX3210U is undoubtedly the best 4k monitor, especially if you only care about resolution. You’re also going to struggle to find a screen that’s more feature-packed than this one, with its TreVolo speakers and HDMI 3.0 port that’s found on the back. Though, what it really does well is its handling of games like Horizon: Forbidden West as the colours are super vibrant in that game. There are cheaper options out there, but it’s still under five hundred bucks, and it punches way above its weight.

Wow! That’s a lot of stuff to look at with your eyes. Hopefully, we helped you find something useful that you can touch and feel with your hands or maybe even a Dualsense or two. The PS5 is a wonderful console, and there’s still so much time before it blossoms.
