I absolutely adore the versatility of the PlayStation 5 controller. Not only does it work on the PS5 console, but you can use it on PC or even a tablet natively. This makes it so you can play your favorite games however you want, without having to sacrifice the type of controller you use. However, just because you can connect your PS5 controller to your iPad doesn’t mean it’s simple to do.
How to Connect PS5 to Tablet
To connect a PS5 controller to an iPad or tablet, follow these instructions:
- On your PS5 controller, press the Share button and the PS button at the same time.
- Wait until the light bar begins flashing rapidly. This means that the controller is in Bluetooth mode.
- In your iPad’s Settings go to the Bluetooth tab.
- Here, you should see Dualshock as one of the options.
- Select the controller from your list of available Bluetooth options, and the light bar on your controller will stop flashing.
At this point, you will be able to freely use your PlayStation 5 controller on your iPad or tablet. Additionally, you can achieve this with a wired connection by plugging in a double-sided USB-C cable to your PS5 controller and your tablet, should the tablet have this connection.
