Will Torchlight: Infinite Be Coming to PS5?
In a Q&A video on the game’s Discord, the developers confirm is going to be coming to consoles, including PS5. However, there is no expected release date for the game. The title is still being worked on through PC, and therefore, they want to make sure it’s in a complete state. Afterwards, the team can work on porting Torchlight to PS5 and other consoles for players to join in on the fun.
It’s not the first or last time that this sort of process happens with games. No Rest for the Wicked is a prime example from the same genre. The game has been on PC since April 2024, with all developments and updates happening there. And only just recently, the game was announced to be coming to PS5 with the 1.0 update when it launches in October 2026. Therefore, we can expect that Torchlight: Infinite aims to follow a similar process.
Would Torchlight: Infinite Also Come to PS4?
It’s unlikely that Torchlight: Infinite is going to be released on the PS4 when it comes to consoles. The developers are working on making sure the game is fully ready and then porting it to current-generation consoles. Something that adds to the work by creating a separate port for previous consoles. It’s something that could change in the future, as development for the console versions becomes closer. Until then, though, it’s likely that it’s only going to be released for PS5.
