Ghost of Yotei has its new Legends mode. Many players may be trying to access it, while newcomers may not be sure what it is. With the game fully out for players, many have gotten to experience its narrative. And while Ghost of Yotei features a modest-sized story, there is still more to enjoy. Just like its predecessor, Ghost of Tsushima, the latest title is continuing to receive love from Sucker Punch in the form of new content.
What is Ghost of Yotei Legends?
Ghost of Yotei Legends is a free expansion for the main game. It’s an online cooperative multiplayer experience where players take on various missions. Furthermore, you and other players can then take on a raid. Working together to get through various large areas and puzzles before taking on a boss. Players can matchmake with two to four players as they do these missions. All of which are separate from the main game’s story.
Furthermore, players can take on the role of one of four classes to fight with. Those being The Archer, The Mercenary, The Samurai, and The Shinobi. Each has differing bonuses and play styles for players to try out. Rather than just being a small add-on, it’s almost a full-fledged expansion. Complete with progression for all of the classes, various unlocks, and different mission types to explore. And the best part is, you don’t need to complete the story to play it.

How to Access Ghost of Yotei Legends
Players can access Ghost of Yotei Legends right from the main menu of the game. All you need to do in the story is get to the first moment where you control Atsu. After that, you can exit to the menu and scroll down to “Enter Legends Co-op Mode.” From here, it will load you into the mode, and if it’s your first time, you will complete a tutorial. Once this section is finished, players get to access the hub area of Legends. You can customize your classes and matchmake with other players who are playing the game.
Ghost of Yotei Legends is open to any player who owns the main game. And whether you want to dive into the main story or Legends, you are more than welcome to. The original iteration of Legends in Ghost of Tsushima was a big hit with players. And seeing Sucker Punch give us another entry of it is great to see. However, it only makes me want to see a mainline Ghost title with multiplayer already in it. Because if it’s anything like Legends has been so far, it would be a blast.
