Sony’s decision not to release first-party single-player games on PC may have been met with controversy. But that doesn’t mean that it’ll stop the gaming giant from doing what it wants. The good news for PS5 owners is that they shouldn’t expect the quality or quantity of awesome first-party Sony games to stop.
Today, we want to highlight some of the standout first-party PS5 games that won’t get released on PC. These include the highly anticipated Marvel’s Wolverine, as well as the largely mysterious Intergalactic, which fans of Naughty Dog already know will be a treat.
Ghost of Yōtei
Ghost of Yōtei is the sequel to the highly successful Ghost of Tsushima. While the game is already out on the PS5, there’s a strong chance that it won’t get a PC port anymore. This is because Ghost of Yōtei is purely a single-player game, even if it has some multiplayer elements in the form of Ghost of Yōtei: Legends.
There’s a chance that Sony may decide to release Ghost of Yōtei: Legends as a standalone title for PC. But the chance is fairly low. The first game gave even The Last of Us Part 2 a run for its money in terms of success, but PC players who want to continue their samurai adventure will have to do so on a PS5.
Marvel’s Wolverine
Insomniac is no stranger to releasing awesome superhero-based games. While the three Spider-Man games are the perfect examples of modern superhero games done right, a new title is on the way. Marvel’s Wolverine was announced in September 2021, and the game is slated to finally come out in the same month this year.
While it’s confirmed that a PC port for the game was in development, that has reportedly since been scrapped. Marvel’s Wolverine will be a PS5 exclusive. This is despite the leaked playable PC version that went around during the infamous Insomniac leak.
SAROS
Housemarque struck gold by releasing the roguelike game Returnal. Therefore, it makes sense that the studio wants to replicate that success. SAROS may not be a direct sequel to the studio’s previous game. But the gameplay is slated to be fairly similar. Of course, difficulty was a major point of concern for Returnal, so SAROS should deliver a more forgiving experience.
The third-person bullet hell game won’t be getting a PC release, despite coming out in April 2026. SAROS will tell the story of a lost off-world colony. While it’s almost guaranteed that the gameplay will be awesome and fast-paced, PC players won’t be able to experience it.
Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet
Naughty Dog has mostly just released remasters and remakes of its previous games recently. But that doesn’t mean the studio hasn’t been busy. Intergalactic is slated to be the studio’s next big game. It’ll take players to space and have them fill the shoes of a completely new character.
Not much is known about Intergalactic so far, primarily because of there being only a single cinematic trailer. However, judging by Sony’s decision not to release first-party games to the PC, there’s a good chance that it’ll be a PS5 and PS5 Pro exclusive.
