Xbox titles coming to PlayStation was once a dream. But over the last couple of years, it has started to become a reality. With titles like Indiana Jones and even Forza Horizon 6 making the jump. However, while games like Halo will be joining PlayStation later in the year, one title still hasn’t: Starfield. And as time has gone on, PlayStation fans are curious if they will be able to explore space in Bethesda’s newest RPG.
Will Starfield Be Coming to PS5?
Yes, Starfield is finally making its way to PS5, and much sooner than players may think. The game arrives on the PlayStation console on April 7, 2026. Not only that, but the game is also receiving new DLC with the PS5 launch, called Terran Armada. Additionally, the game is receiving a free update called Free Lanes. So after all this time, players on PlayStation get to enjoy the world of Starfield without needing an Xbox.
To date, plenty of Bethesda titles have been on PlayStation consoles. So it was quite a shock to see Starfield be one of the ones that took so long to make it here. It’s not just the base game that players can get for the game, either. The game is coming with a Premium Edition that includes both the Terran Armada and Shattered Space expansions. Furthermore, a skin pack, 1,000 Creation Credits, and both a Digital Artbook and Soundtrack are also included. So if you are looking to experience the full narrative of the game, you’re in luck with this edition.

Is Starfield Going to Be on PS4?
Starfield will, unfortunately, not be coming out on PS4. The game is one of Bethesda’s first titles to be featured only as a current-gen title. Rather than one for both the current and previous platforms. It allows the developers not to have to sacrifice development power to compensate for being on the PS4. This means, though, if you are looking to see what Starfield has to offer, you will need to upgrade to a PS5 if you haven’t.
Starfield coming to PS5 is a long time coming and just one of many titles moving from Xbox. Further showing that console exclusivity is slowly starting to fade away. It’s not long now, though, before we get to see what the starfaring adventure of Starfield is going to be like. So, whether you are a Bethesda enthusiast or a first-time RPG fan, the game will be on PS5 consoles soon enough.
