T.C. Carson Returns as Kratos, and Here Are Other Key Voice Actors

Carson has voiced Kratos in several previous God of War games, from the first one to Ghost of Sparta. It’s safe to say that the actor’s voice is easily linked to Kratos, which explains why T.C. Carson is back in Sons of Sparta. Adult Kratos isn’t featured in the game extensively, as the game follows young Kratos, but T.C. Carson narrates the story. Carson’s return is particularly notable, as he didn’t voice Kratos in the 2018 God of War, but his comeback will give fans a jolt of nostalgia.
Antony Del Rio is returning to voice young Kratos, after voicing the character in Ghost of Sparta. Del Rio will be one of the most actively heard voices, as players take control of young Kratos and witness earlier parts of his life. Kratos and Deimos’ relationship will also be featured extensively in the game. Deimos will be voiced by Scott Menville, which is a deviation from Ghost of Sparta, where Kratos’ brother was voiced by Bridger Zadina.
Kratos’ daughter, Calliope, was voiced by Debi Derryberry in Chains of Olympus, and the actor is making a comeback in Sons of Sparta. Derryberry’s return is a good thing, as Calliope is an important character, and her relationship with Kratos is integral to the narrative. This makes Deimos the only character out of the three whose voice has changed, with Kratos and Calliope’s voice actors returning to reprise their roles.
Other Notable God of War: Sons of Sparta Voice Actors
A.J. LoCascio voiced The Krypteia in the game, and this isn’t his first stint with God of War, as he has previously voiced two characters in Ragnarök. Kimberly D. Brooks voices The Oracle and is known for voice work in games, including major roles in franchises such as Mass Effect and Overwatch.
Shelby Young is another actor who has done extensive voice work for games. She voiced Amara in the game and has previously voiced Skuld and Walla Performer in God of War: Ragnarök. Jim Pirri voiced three characters in the game, including Brasidas, Apostolos, and the Fisherman. He has also previously voiced Birgir in Ragnarök.
Jack Quaid may be the most recognizable name on the credits, as he is a mainstream celebrity, known for The Boys, Scream, and The Hunger Games. The actor voices Eis, and this is his first time working on a God of War title, but he will also voice Phranque in the upcoming God of War: Laufey.
