Far Far West transports players to a unique but alternate Wild West. Players take on the roles of robots as they complete missions. However, things aren’t so simple as monsters aim to put you down. Equipped with weapons and various spells, you and your team must fight your way through the hordes. Don’t forget that you need to get bounties to ensure the pay for your troubles is worth it. The game looks to give a unique, animated take on a past we haven’t seen in games yet. With a demo out now on PC, many players want to form posses on PS5 and join in on the fun.
Is Far Far West Coming to PS5?
No, Far Far West is not on or currently having a version developed for PS5. At the moment, there is only a test demo of the game on Steam for players to join. Additionally, there have been many trailers for the game that showcase it heading exclusively to Steam at launch. Something that isn’t all too shocking as developing for multiple platforms at once is not easy for small developers to do. When it comes to the current demo of the game itself, it is a playtest that is only live for a limited time. So if you have a PC, you are able to try it for free.
Not only is the game not coming to PS5, but players on Xbox also don’t get to experience it currently. Therefore, making it a PC exclusive at its launch.
Could Far Far West Be Coming to PS5 in the Future?
Like other indie titles, Far Far West could come to PS5 in a couple of years after its release. But because the team is focusing strictly on its PC launch, it likely won’t be for a while yet. So, currently, the only way to be able to dive into Far Far West when it comes out is through the PC platform. It’s not something that is far off, as we have seen games like Ready or Not that were dominantly on PC for a couple of years. Then, when the team was ready, they ported it over to both PS5 and Xbox.
It’s unfortunate but not shocking that Far Far West is not currently making its way to PS5. With many indie developers, focusing on getting the game right on one platform first is both easier and cost-effective. So while we may have to wait longer to enjoy the game, the chance of it coming to PS5 is still there down the line.
