Dev Error 0xd8e46539 is the latest issue plaguing Black Ops 6 on PS5. It’s not causing lag or any gameplay issues like that. However, it’s still something that can cause problems for players, and we need to avoid that. Being able to try and play games without having these error codes hindering that is what we all aim for. And nothing can ruin a long day or week like the errors breaking your game. So if you are hopping on Black Ops 6, you may commonly see this error like many other players. However, we aim to make sure you can get around it and get back to blasting through enemy players online.
Dev Error 0xd8e46539 Fix
Fixing the Dev Error 0xd8e46539 can be done on Black Ops 6 by deleting files. More specifically, it has to be any of the files associated with the words “Black Ops 7” on it. Upon doing this and starting the game, you should be able to log in just fine. The process to be able to get rid of these files can be done below:
- First, go to the Settings button on the PS5; it is a gear icon on the top right.
- Next, scroll down until you reach the Storage option and select it.
- Once you are in this menu, navigate to Call of Duty and choose that.
- Remove any of the files that are labeled as Black Ops 7. This includes the Multiplayer and Warzone.
- Proceed to load up the Call of Duty app, and it should all be fixed.
As an extra measure, if you want, when you load into Call of Duty, check the files within the game. From here, ensure that the Black Ops 7 files are gone. While we don’t know the exact reason for the problem, it seems that it may be a conflict between both Black Ops 6 and 7 files. More so because if players don’t own the game, it’s blocking access to Black Ops 6. Until there is an official patch, deleting the files is the best way to fix the Dev Error 0xd8e46539.

Alternate Fix for 0xd8e46539
Another way to cure the Dev Error 0xd8e46539 is by restoring your licenses on your PS5 console. Before deleting the files, like in the method above, trying to restore may be just the fix to stop the error code. If you haven’t done license restoration on PS5 before, we will help you below:
- Navigate to the Settings on the PS5 by clicking the gear icon on the top right side of the menu.
- Next, click on Users and Accounts.
- Scroll down to the tab at the bottom that says Other.
- From here, select the Restore Licenses tab and navigate until you see Call of Duty.
- Once the license restore process is done, you can load up the game.
However, if the restoring doesn’t work, then it’s best to do the deleting of the Black Ops 7 files. Sometimes restoring licenses is a way to refresh the apps on your PlayStation 5. And with that, it helps to get rid of errors within the game, something I have had to do before. With both of these fixes in our guide, though, you’ll be able to be back on Black Ops 6 and gaming!
